What if I’m poor when I’m old?” The potential scenarios are endless, and our fear can be enormous, but that fear points us to a central connection between faith and money: Where do we find our security—our deep-down, gut level sense of security? Married for 24 years, Elizabeth McMeekin and Phil Moses have been living, working and raising three children in Takoma Park, MD, for the past 17 years after having worked in Nicaragua for six years with the Mennonite Central Committee. Elizabeth currently works with a small community-based organization that helps groups of low-income residents in the Silver Spring, MD, area organize for their mutual support. Phil has worked on health-related projects in the U.S., sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America. As parents of three teenagers, they
