Dave Osgood is a native Oregonian who retired early from a professorship in Biology at Butler University to take up a second career running a company making electronic monitoring devices for use in animal research. Selling that company some 20+ years later provided the capital for becoming a modest philanthropist. He first became aware of Faith and Money Network (then called Ministry of Money) in the late 1990s (attending a workshop co-led by Frank Butler and others).
Going on a trip of perspective to Israel/Palestine led to a deeper commitment to the objectives of FMN and to joining their Board in 2006. He has been doing as much as he can to share his good fortune with others and to tell anyone he can button-hole that “there is more joy to be had in giving to others than in anything he has ever done.”
